Music Director Position
We are seeking a part time Director of Music to coordinate and plan the music program of the congregation, and assist in the planning and enhancement of worship.
Fort King Presbyterian Church has been socially active since its beginning during the Civil Rights movement and is diverse: inclusive of all generations, economic, cultural, racial and ethnic origins.
As followers of Jesus, we strive to be like Him by ministering to all those who are in need of God’s love by using the variety of blessings and persons God has given to FKPC.
Our worship reflects the diversity of our community. Our congregation understands music as a prayerful expression of our love for God and one another. We envision a music ministry that is welcoming of all people and gifts, that blends traditional and contemporary styles of worship seamlessly and engages young and old in the worship experience through music, dance, drama and liturgy.
Our Music Director’s faith would be evident through their life, leadership and worship. Our Music Director would become an active community member, engaged with the congregation and encouraging them to try new things. They would continually seek to increase opportunities to worship our living God.
